Explanatory Notes:
1.	Students of Double Major Programmes should follow the requirements of their first Major.
2.	The Dual Undergraduate Degree Programme (DDP) students admitted by the partner institutions are required to take 2 units in Area A which can be replaced by a course of General Education Foundation Programme, on the condition that there is similar requirement or students have taken courses relevant to Area A in the partner institutions.
3.	The DDP students admitted by CUHK are required to take 4 units of courses in the two Areas of University GE designated by the respective Major Programmes from among the Four Areas.
4.	It was agreed that both DDP students admitted by the partner institution and CUHK of the DDPs offered in collaboration with the Tsinghua University are required to take 4 units of University GE courses in the two Areas, as designated by the respective Major Programmes.
5.	Students will be directed by the Faculty of Law to take 4 units of courses in the Four Areas of University GE or the Modern Languages Area of the List of Language Enhancement Courses, including one course in Area A, as non-law electives.
6.	Students are required to take 2 units in Area A and designated courses in bioethics as alternatives to fulfilling 5 units of University GE.
7.	Students graduating with the exit qualification of the Bachelor of Science in Medical Studies are required to take 2 units in Area A, 2 units in one Area of University GE designated by the Faculty of Medicine and designated courses in bioethics as alternatives to fulfilling 3 units of University GE.
