Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development

University social responsibility (USR) means the capacity of higher education institutions to disseminate and implement a set of values aimed at meeting educational and social challenges.  USR has been adopted by the world’s leading universities in recent years.  As a socially responsible institution, CUHK supports the principle of sustainable development and contributes to the well-being of the global community through the integration of teaching, research and engagement, and by translating social responsibility into action.  The University is resolved to establish itself at the forefront of social responsibility and strives to achieve its USR goals that actively respond to the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations.
