Students with an IELTS score of 7.5 or above, with no sub-scores below 7.0, or equivalent qualifications will be exempted from ELTU1001 Foundation English for University Studies, and they will be required to take 1 unit of any language course as specified in Note 7 above.

This is a foreign language course for students with two to four years’ previous experience with the language.

Students will be assigned to take ELTU1002 English Communication for University Studies in lieu of ELTU1001 Foundation English for University Studies.
